Philip R. Reilly, MD, JD, had been the president, chief operating officer, and executive director of the Shriver Center for Mental Retardation, Inc. since 1990 and was recently appointed as CEO of InterLeukin Genetics Inc. Dr. Reilly is board certified in internal medicine and clinical genetics. Dr. Reilly is assistant professor at Tufts University and an adjunct professor at Brandeis University. He has served on many national committees chartered to explore public policy issues raised by advances in genetics and is frequently asked to comment on these topics by the national media. He serves as a member of the U.S. Dept. of Justice Advisory Committee on DNA Forensics. He is the sole author of three books, including Genetics, Law, and Social Policy (Harvard, 1977), and has published more than 100 articles in scholarly journals, including JAMA, the American Journal of Human Genetics, and the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
